Think ahead and don’t run out of medicines this Easter

Thu 17th March 2016

Doctors in Sunderland are encouraging people to plan their healthcare over the Easter break.

They are asking you to think ahead and make sure you get your repeat prescriptions before your GP surgery closes on Good Friday.

NHS Sunderland Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) Clinical Chair and local GP Dr Ian Pattison advises: “As most GP surgeries will be closed over the bank holiday we would encourage patients to order any repeat prescriptions they need as soon as possible.

“Don’t spoil your Easter break by having to rush around trying to get a prescription at the last minute, putting pressure on both yourself and NHS services.”
